The Philodendron Green Princess belongs to the huge genus of flowering plants in the Araceae family. There are over 500 species of Philodendron in total. Typically, philodendrons come from the Paraguayan and Brazilian rain forests. They are often tall, towering plants that grow on other trees and plants. The Greek words phileo, which means “to love,” and dendron, which means “tree,” are where the name Philodendron originates.
